Well the leaves are just about through changing. Days are getting shorter and we had our last parade of the season with the celebration of Garland Days. Yours truly, along with Lady Rosemary, Divan Rep. Sonny Crocker and Lady Marilyn just got through attending our Potentate's Reception hosted by Chief Rabban Tyler Dunning. The dinner put on by the Clown Unit was done very well and it was a very unforgettable evening.
Our Captain Dave, Sr., along with his son, Danny, where off to North Carolina to the NASCAR races where I am sure they had a great time. Speaking about Captain Dave, being on my third year as your Divan Rep., I can only say that he has done an outstanding job as your Captain and leader. Anytime he's not working delivering oil or gas, he is working on new ways to improve the unit. I have never seen anybody as proud of a unit as he is. Not only is he that, but if you know him well enough Monday morning like any other working man dreads to see it come but when Friday night rolls around he turns into a whole different person. He fine tunes his cart, loads his truck and Saturday morning is ready to go. Dave, you're doing an outstanding job as the leader of one of the finest units in Anah Shriners.
