Greetings all - I would first like to thank everyone for making our raffle a success. As many of you know the winner was drawn at the Northeast Field Days. The lucky winner was Dale Hatch and either he or his significant other opted for the cash (I hear rumor that he had the check drawn in her name). Anyway, congratulations to Dale.
A lot of you may know or will by the time that this goes to print that the unit's Halloween dance has been canceled. The reason is simply put, lack of interest or participation. While it's nice to get together, the financial strain is really hard to justify with a unit as small as ours.
After months and months of waiting, it's finally here. Deer season that is. By the time this arrives in your mailbox I will have found, tracked and patterned yet another 200-pound plus buck for Randy to shoot. I swear I should start charging him for this kind of service or at least getting a kickback from his taxidermist.
Along with the arrival of deer season our Blue Lodges are back in full swing with a lot of work being done in our areas. I urge all of you to try to make a few meetings or attend a degree or two. The work always seems better with a big crowd to draw from.
Until next issue keep warm and think tracking snow.
